Egyptian influence on the art deco style

In 1922, King Tutankhamun's tomb was unearthed in #Egypt, causing a fascination with Egyptian relics to sweep across America right when #ArtDeco was also growing in popularity. As a result, the styles from ancient Egypt can be seen in many art deco pieces.
Also notice some of the pieces in the background of this image that show other examples of the Egyptian influence.
